Gears of War 4: Microsoft Releases Trailer for Upcoming 3rd-Person Shooter
Microsoft aired a new trailer for Xbox One shooter, Gears of War 4. This trailer, is set to a pretty eerie version of Simon and Garfunkel’s The Sound of Silence. The scenes bounce back and forth between the past and present.
Set 25 years after Gears of War 3, Gears 4 now focusses on JD Fenix, son of the three previous games’ hero, Marcus.
The moody music only adds to the sense of peril, while the tagline of “The Nightmare Reborn” suggests a whole new breed of enemy on the way too.
Further previews of the game are due later this month as well, with Microsoft planning a multiplayer beta in the coming weeks.
Gears of War 4 is scheduled to launch on October 11th for Xbox One. A PC version may also be released, however, that has yet to be confirmed.
