Dad’s Army Teaser Trailer Released
The inaugural trailer for the new film adaptation of ‘Dad’s Army’ has been released.
The update of the classic sitcom sees a totally new cast play the buffoonish members of the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard.
We have Toby Jones as Captain Mainwaring; Bill Nighy as Sergeant Wilson; Michael Gambon as Private Godfrey; Blake Harrison as Private Pike; Tom Courtenay as Lance Corporal Jones; Daniel Mays as Private Walker and Bill Paterson as Private Frazer.
Catherine Zeta-Jones, Sarah Lancashire, Alison Steadman, Emily Atack, Annette Crosbie and Felicity Montagu complete a seriously talented cast list.
The plot revolves around Zeta-Jones’ character Rose Winters, a female journalist who causes chaos when she visits Walmington-on-Sea to write a story on the Home Guard while the troops prepare for a German invasion.
The film is set for release on 5 February 2016.
