Marty McFly’s Powerlace-equipped Nike Air Mags for sale next month?
Marty McFly’s Powerlace-equipped Nike Air Mags in Back to the Future 2 are the coolest trainers in film history. Nike produced a limited run for charity in 2011, but now it seems it could be about to put them on general sale.
At least, we hope. A tweet from a former art director from advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy in Portland, USA shows what looks like a functioning version of the trainers. It’s accompanied by the text: “October 21, 2015.” Which is the date McFly travels forward to in the film.

Could Nike put them on general sale then?
Back in January, it announced it would sell the self-lacing shoes by the end of the year. Tying in with the time-travel date in the film would make sense.
So that would mean there’s just under six weeks to go! HAVE MY WALLET!!!
