FA CUP: West Ham 1 – Man Utd 2
Marcus Rashford and Marouane Fellaini fired Manchester United into the FA Cup semi-finals, despite a late West Ham flurry.
The Hammers went into the game hoping to mark their final Cup appearance at the Boleyn Ground with a fairytale ending but it was not to be.
Marcus Rashford put the visitors in front with a crisp finished before Marouane Fellaini doubled their advantage, with James Tomkins’ late header proving to be little more than a consolation.
The defeat could threaten to derail West Ham’s season – with just six Premier League games left to play – but Bilic is adamant his side have plenty to play for after coming up short against Louis van Gaal’s men.
West Ham currently occupy sixth place in the Premier League table and are five points outside of the Champions League places.
