How will Marvel Studios deal with the Reinvigorated DC Franchise

by Hashtag Daily TrendsJuly 27, 2015

This year we have seen the release of Marvels Avengers: Age of Ultron  & Ant-Man, with a reboot of the Fantastic Four series due out in August however how will these films survive when the sequels come out?! Warner Bros. have come out of no where with a Batman franchise that saw a new dark knight and a Joker made great by the late Heath Ledger. However since the year 2000 the only other films DC Comics have commissioned is The Green Lantern which lets be honest everyone isn’t a film i will be running back to anytime soon…Sorry Ryan. Man of Steel which sees a reboot of Superman series after a flop from Superman Returns back in 2006 and finally Watchmen which in itself is a cracking film.

On the other hand Marvel Studios have had 35, yes 35 films released since 2000, which makes you wonder by its been left this long for Warner Brothers to pull something else out of the bag.

Suicide Squad

Firstly wow! When the leaked trailer came out at Comic-Con, Jared Leto sent the world into chaos with his what already seems to be an infamous introduction to a new breed of Joker. The classic green hair, pale complexion compliments the madness of his tattoos. Then we have Harley Quinn making her first cinematic debut who is played by the captivating and coveted Margot Robbie. In the trailer for the film we see chaos everywhere, from Killer Croc to Deadshot. Who knows what can happen…

Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice

Now here is when things start getting interesting, Warner Brothers came under much scrutiny when it was unveiled that Ben Affleck was taking up the mantel of Bruce Wayne. The internet went wild, splitting the Batman universe with people both slating him and applauding him. In my opinion he is as good a choice as anyone after Christian Bale’s Dark Knight.

Now it looks like that we are going to see Batman & Superman tear each other a new one however we are granted glimpses of Wonder Woman & Lex Luthor. What are the chances Lex is the mastermind behind everything…  For now though I guess we will have to wait and see…

What Does This All Mean Though

In short form, we are without a doubt going to see a Justice League film released in the not to distant future. This is to take on Marvels Avengers films by ram packing every hero/vigilante into one film where we wont be able to take our eyes off the big screen. We have already seen this with the Avengers franchise which now seems to start a new chapter of the Marvel Universe with all the films (and T.V series) tying up all the loose ends and even making some of their own.

Judging on the rivalry we are going to see now for the next few years expect more T.V shows to be released for both universe’s giving us spin off’s and background to characters that the wider audience might not exactly know about.
